Area Sales Manager 

Role Overview:
The Area Sales Manager will manage the relationship between Sharp and designated reseller accounts in the South East. Achieve sales targets through identifying and exploiting new business opportunities. The product range will include MFP, photocopiers, printers, consumables, software solutions, visual solutions plus other new technologies Sharp bring to market.

Key Responsibilities:
Achieving agreed 6-monthly fiscal sales targets, keeping resellers informed of fiscal business performance.
Providing weekly/monthly sales forecasts 
Managing all aspects of account relationships with designated reseller accounts.
Developing relationships with dealer salespeople and those involved with supporting sales.
Developing, implementing and monitoring Development Plans with dealers.
Assisting dealer sales staff by regular field visits to drive sell-through, and through planned training activity.
Keeping abreast of developments/ competitive activity in the market, advising management as appropriate.
Recruiting new dealers/re-sellers in areas of weak penetration within a designated geographical area.
Ensuring that all required administration is carried out in an effective and timely manner and agreed procedures are complied with.
Ensuring that personal knowledge of products and relevant technology is kept up to date.
Representing the Company and our customers at industry events, shows, exhibitions. This may involve some unsociable hours or overnight stays.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
Strong proven track record in B2B sales in the technology sector, preferably in photocopier/MFP market. Knowledge of visual solutions market is also desirable
Solid experience in a combination of direct and in-direct sales in this market or similar
Thorough and up to date understanding of the technologies involved in networked products
PC literate with good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Self-motivated and able to use own initiative to solve problems
People person with excellent motivational qualities — can formulate relationships quickly
Ability to develop and manage effective working relationships with internal and external people
Able to plan and organise effectively
Calm under pressure
Able to work alone but also be a team player
