Bid Writer
 
Role Overview:
The Bid Writer will work closely with the Bid Manager to create bespoke responses to tenders, leading on allocated bid projects and managing the end to end bid process.

Responsibilities
 
Creating bespoke responses to Tenders
Producing bid responses, reviewing editing and tailoring previously written content as necessary
Leading the bid process for the customer and the Sales Team
Managing the entire workstream from beginning to end
Effectively project managing the creation and completion of bids within defined timescales
Qualifying bid opportunities, providing an initial analysis/proposal to the sales team
Accuracy in completing bid documents in line with customer requirements and company standards
Providing presales support such as responding to RFIs and PQQs
Liaising with cross functional departments to ensure knowledge base is up to date and accurate
Attending and organising regular internal stakeholder meetings  
Collaborating with Marketing, Service Delivery, Product Management, Sales
Building/maintaining strong relationships with other team members and departments
 
Experience, Skills Required skills and experience:
 
Prior experience as a Bid Writer in the technology sector
Demonstrable ability to write effective, concise and compelling content whilst under pressure to meet customer deadlines.
Experience working of within virtual team to obtain accurate, high quality information from stakeholders in order to complete bid responses.
Experience in working within a Bid team or commercial operation function
MPS Background or knowledge in print and document industry is desirable but not essential
Strong on Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc
APMP certification or APMP bid process experience is desirable
High attention to detail with an excellent editing and proofing ability
Excellent literacy skills, with an extensive vocabulary
