| Project Designer – Office Furniture Sharp’s Furniture Division in Scotland has an excellent opportunity for a Project Designer You will be a proactive part of the projects and estimating team, assisting with quotes, tenders and product information as well as providing 2D and 3D conceptual drawings to complement sales packages. We are one of the leading office furniture suppliers for the public sector across Scotland. Responsibilities Gathering product information and pricing packages for tenders/project proposals – this includes working out margins and profit calculations. Attending external supplier/customer meetings when required. Assist marketing department with catalogues/flyers for products. Managing and maintaining Sharp Company Drawing Standards. Creating 2D and 3D conceptual drawings to complement sales packages for customers Creating 2D installation drawings to issue to clients/contacts/installation engineers capturing all requirements, so they can be easily understood by all. This will include plan view and elevation drawings. Maintaining and adding new blocks to the Sharp block library in a methodical manner. Communication with all departments to obtain verbal and written design briefs to follow when creating the drawings. External communication with architects and client projects team to obtain latest drawings and design information to be incorporated in the Sharp drawings. Updating client and contractor FTP file share sites with current construction latest drawings and making sure the Sharp drawing always remains current. Accurate revision control in line with the drawing standards document using company scheduling tools to maintain accurate dates from completion and managing colleagues’ expectations on when items will be ready to ensure this is proactively communicated to the customers. Requirements Experience as a draughtsman/3D designer within a busy environment. Significant experience within interior design/space planning/designing industry CAD/Blender software 2D and 3D conceptual Drawings Microsoft Office Suite (mainly excel) Behaviours Good communication – written and oral. High-level attention to detail Highly organised and accurate Strive for efficiency and quality in all works. Ensure good knowledge of previous works that may save time in being able to fulfil other drawing requirements. Adapt to all new company initiatives. Bring flare and creativity to the drawing when using adobe for sales visualisations. Focus on the tasks at hand to meeting deadlines and not be easily distracted. Time management – ensuring that deadlines are met.
